Apply for a grant!
Aug 13, 2012: In support of our ongoing mandate to support teaching, eMAP is very pleased to present our pilot offering of a Media Teaching Resource Fund which will award grants to course instructors to develop multimedia-rich learning materials to use in the classroom. Media has a valuable place in the classroom and can enhance learning in many ways and we want to work with you to create learning materials that you can use in your teaching. Access Code Change
Aug 01, 2012: The access code for the media consoles located in classrooms has changed. Please contact Media Access & Production (eMAP) at 966-4263 or equipment.booking@usask.ca to obtain the new code. If you need help using the multimedia equipment located in your classroom, please contact us and we will book an individual training session you.
Announcement regarding the Media Store
May 01, 2012: As of May 1st, the Media Store will no longer sell media supplies to the campus community. Instead, we will focus our sales on multimedia equipment. The need for equipment on campus has increased dramatically and we can no longer support the decreasing need for supplies. While stock is available, contact us and we will see if we have the supplies you need. Equipment consultation and project planning will continue through Denis Troesch, Head of Equipment Services, eMAP.

Welcome to our new staff!
Apr 26, 2012: Adrienne Thomas has joined Media Access & Production (eMAP) as Head, Media Production. In this role, she will provide vision, leadership, management, and strategic planning for Media Production to ensure high quality production and timely delivery of effective and resourceful media. Prior to joining eMAP, Adrienne was Senior Producer/Production Manager for Bamboo Shoots. She has been working in broadcast television and film and video production for over 30 years. Sandra Panko has also joined eMAP as Media Producer. She will consult with clients to design and implement video communications strategies in order to deliver exceptional and engaging media content. Before joining eMAP, Sandra was Producer, Production Manager at Juxtapose Productions. She has over 15 years of experience in production and communication planning. Doug Shier has joined the eMAP team as well. He wil provide support for classroom AV systems and assist other technicians with multimedia equipment installs and maintenance. He has 18 years of experience providing technical support in the office equipment industry. Welcome!

JOVE.com: Video Journal Publication
Jan 11, 2012: Have you heard about the new format for publishing journal articles? JOVE.com (the Journal of Visualized Experiments) is garnering attention because journals submitted to this journal integrate video, audio, animation, and graphics with the text. The visual components facilitate a better understanding of complex concepts in fields such as medicine, chemistry, biology and dentistry. eMAP has recently assisted with creating the multimedia content for journal articles that were submitted to and accepted by JOVE.com.
eMAP - Going Places
Sep 15, 2011: To serve you better, Media Access and Production (eMAP) has moved our main office from Room 25 to Room 38 in the Education Building. The move creates a central location for all your multimedia inquiries. You can now rent a media cart, make your production requests, and access all of our other resources from the same place. Classroom Equipment Tutorials
Sep 09, 2011: Welcome back students and faculty. Media Access and Production (eMAP) has been busy this summer working to enhance your teaching and learning environment. Not only have we upgraded seven learning spaces across campus with permanent multimedia equipment, we have also enhanced the user friendliness of all mediated learning spaces across campus. Utilizing an exciting new virtual reality technology, eMAP has created an interactive representation of these spaces and provided them online for your use.
