Videoconferencing Best Practices

Videoconferencing is a way to connect a number of locations together using technology. Users can see and hear each other using cameras, TV and computer monitors, and microphones.This allows interaction between people who are not physically in the same room.

The benefits of using videoconferencing to connect are numerous, especially in education, because it allows resources to be extended, saving time and money. Despite the benefits, using the technology does present challenges such as ensuring that people at remote sites are engaged and have an opportunity to interact and handling technical issues.
